Privacy Policy

The short version

Your microphone audio, and anything the speech recognizer hears, never leaves your device. Recognition runs entirely in your browser. The server never receives audio, transcripts, or which trigger phrases fired during a session - that's not a policy promise layered on top, it's how the app is built. See the "How it works" note on the live meter page.

What we do collect

• Account data - your username and a hashed password (we can't read your actual password), your tier (free/paid), and your role.
• Your settings - which trigger phrases are enabled, any custom phrases and scores you've added, your alert preferences, and your chosen visual theme.
• Referral tags - if you follow a shared link (e.g. from a recap card's QR code), we log a short source tag like "recap" and a timestamp, so we can tell whether sharing actually drives visits. No IP address or device identifier is stored with it.
• Party mode scores - if you join a live party session, your current 0-10 score is shared temporarily with others using the same code. This lives in server memory only, is never written to a database, and disappears within an hour of the last activity (sooner, once the app or server restarts).
• Payments - if you upgrade to paid or send a tip, Stripe processes the payment directly. We never see or store your card number - we only receive confirmation that a payment succeeded, tied to your username for the purpose of unlocking paid features.

Cookies

One cookie: a session cookie that keeps you logged in. It's marked Secure, HttpOnly, and SameSite - it isn't readable by scripts, isn't sent over insecure connections, and isn't used for tracking or advertising. No third-party ad or analytics cookies are set by this app.

Who else sees any of this

Stripe processes payments and handles your card details directly - we never touch them. Google Cloud hosts the app and stores an automated daily backup of the account database (so a server failure doesn't wipe everyone's settings). Neither is used for advertising, and your data is never sold.
